Aqua Limina - for mum
Aqua Limina: The Pulse of Water, Creek to Coast - Thu, 2 April - Fri, 17 April 2026
"Aqua Limina" was a collaborative exhibition by artists from across Southern Queensland who delved into how water shapes our culture and creativity. Unlike a solo or small-group show, Aqua Limina is an accelerated collaboration that represented a wide spectrum of voices and practices across three sites.
My work for Aqua Limina explored abstraction as a way of communicating identity, memory, grief, and connection to Country. Through layered paintings inspired by coastal environments and ancestral landscapes, I used colour, texture, and gesture to reflect the fluid and shifting nature of personal and cultural identity. The project continues my ongoing exploration of deep listening, cultural reconnection, and healing, creating immersive works that speak to intergenerational experience, belonging, and transformation.
